Stony Point is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Monroe County, Michigan.[2] The community is a part of Frenchtown Charter Township on the shoreline of Lake Erie.[2] The community is located about seven miles northeast of downtown Monroe. The community of Stony Point is also located immediately south of the Enrico Fermi Nuclear Generating Station. The population was 1,775 during the 2000 census.[3] The community is also the home of KD8BUS, Amateur Radio Station for extreme weather and emergency communications.
