  • 1 February 1967 — Michigan becomes one of the first states to have a completed border-to-border Interstate Highway with the completion of a seven-mile segment of Interstate 94 in Macomb County.
  • 12 February 1781Fort St. Joseph (present day Niles) is captured from British command by a Spanish force. The Spaniards occupied the fort for one day.
  • 19 February 1994 — Late-night flash flooding suddenly inundates parts of Saginaw County, causing thousands of dollars in damage to property.
  • 22 February 1926 — The first concert is held at the Masonic Temple in Detroit, one of the most well-known large-stage venues in Michigan, seating 4,600 in the main auditorium alone.
