Detroit Beach is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Monroe County, Michigan.[1] The community is wholly contained within Frenchtown Charter Township on the shoreline of Lake Erie.[1] The community is located about three miles northeast of downtown Monroe and is bordered by Sandy Creek to the southwest and Woodland Beach to the northeast.[1] The community is also adjacent to Sterling State Park, to the southwest. The population was 2,289 during the 2000 census.[2]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the community has a total area of 0.7 square miles, of which 0.04 square miles (5.97%) is water.[2] The community uses ZIP code 48162[3]—assigned to Monroe[4]—and has the FIPS code 26-22040.[2]
