Although this article is based on verifiable information, the actual name of this subject is unknown and pure conjecture.

The Au Sable–Oscoda fire was a large forest fire that burned through northeastern Iosco County in 1911. The fire destroyed most of the city of Au Sable and the village of Oscoda. Neither community fully recovered, as both disincorporated over the next twenty years.[1]
